Review 2008

Review

February 2006Only 14 days passed between the initial idea of founding of a new trade fair and the public announcement of the event, which was made during Ambiente 2006 in Frankfurt. The aim was to persuade at least 60 traders to make a firm application to exhibit on the reserved hall spaces within 3 months.

This aim was clearly achieved after 10 weeks and approx. 800 phone calls (with several calls to some potential exhibitors).

May 2006Official confirmation of the organization of the 1st art fair europe in October 2007. The space had to be regularly increased due to the constantly growing number of exhibitors.

October 2007FOUNDING EVENT

1st art fair europe in Rheda Wiedenbrück with a sensational response from exhibitors and visitors.

November 2007It soon became clear after the premiere that the rooms chosen for this first event would not be sufficient for the future. The new location was worked out and announced in January 2008.

January 2008Official announcement of the new location in Bad Salzuflen in order to meet the increased requirements. The event was publicized more internationally by personal visits to many national and international exhibitions.

Oktober 2008GROWTH EVENT

2nd art fair europe in Bad Salzuflen on a larger display area.

November 2008Optimizing the organization structures was top priority after the 2nd event. Initial contacts were also made with other exhibition organizations. We also recognized the foreseeable necessity of moving to a more international venue, but moving to a 3rd location in the 3rd year was out of the question. We wanted the 3rd exhibition to confirm and consolidate the event.

September 2009CONFIRMATION EVENT

3rd art fair europe in Bad Salzuflen achieved a very good result despite the economic crisis.

Announcement of the new partnership with NürnbergMesse at the exhibition. The response to this new location was very favourable. The stony path to our own event has been worthwhile and the sector is pleased about this international location and its new home.
